
Geoff Waring is on the faculty of the Australian Graduate
School of Management since 1998, where he teaches in
executive programs and writes in strategy and entrepreneurship.
He is also a member of McKinsey and Company’s strategy
faculty for internal training of McKinsey consultants
worldwide.
Geoff advises and facilitates on entrepreneurial strategy
development in private practice for corporate and pro-bono
non-profit clients; clients include Telecom New Zealand,
National Australia Bank, Jirsch Sutherland Insolvency,
Lifestart Co-operative, and Jobsupport. Geoff also designs
and teaches customised executive education courses; previous
clients have included the Australian Venture Capital
Association, Assoc. of Competitive Employment and Westpac.
Geoff was a Visiting Associate Professor to UCLA’s
Anderson Graduate school of Management in 2002 and Hong
Kong University of Science and Technology in 1997. Previously
he was on the faculty at Emory Business School in Atlanta
from 1993 to 1997 and consulted with the Boston Consulting
Group’s Chicago office. He has authored articles
on strategy in the American Economic Review and the Strategic
Management Journal, is on the editorial board of the
Journal of World Business and has authored and co-authored
with practitioners several cases on entrepreneurship,
private equity and strategy in Australia.
His PhD in Strategy and Economics (1993) is from UCLA,
and Honours Degree in Financial Economics from Macquarie
University. He is a member of the Strategic Management
Society. |
